Where has 2012 gone?

I don't know where to begin with the busy year we've had thus far so I'll just post a few pictures from our adventures. From first soccer games and Kiawah Island to Lawson's first day of pre K and Liam potty training. We've had the best 2012! See for yourself...

All we want for Christmas...

Our Christmas festivities are in full swing this year already. Lawson and Liam had their Christmas program at daycare last week. It was so precious, and they both played their parts very well. Lawson was a little squirrel, and Liam jingled bells to the music with his class. I am so sad because I forgot my camera at home so I apologize for the poor photo quality.

We went to Springhill Farms last Friday afternoon to pick out the perfect family Christmas tree. The boys had a blast picking out the perfect tree. They did a great job too!

On Saturday we took them to tell Santa Claus what they wanted for Christmas this year. Lawson was so excited, but Liam was not very enthused. Lawson told Santa he wanted a 4 Wheeler and a coloring book. Liam was content with the candy cane the photographer gave him and had so specific toy requests this year. I can't believe how big my boys have gotten since last Christmas. I look forward to Christmas morning when they awake to see what Santa brings.

Pete the elf came a few nights ago to keep Lawson and Liam in check so that he can report to Santa how well they're behaving. Pete has been very creative this year with his hiding places. I just hope he doesn't run out of ideas before Christmas.

A week in "the lanta".

I spent the past week in Atlanta studying Sensory Integration to begin the process of getting my special certification. I had a great time and learned lots of valuable information. I also got to hang out with a great friend and old coworker, Lindsay! We enjoyed supper together numerous nights. I flew there, and my days of not flying are over. The flight was good, but I can't say I wasn't scared to death the entire time we were 29,000 feet above the ground. By day 3 of the course I was really getting homesick and missed my boys. The course was at The Atlanta Speech School, and their OT clinic was any SI therapist's dream! It was awesome! I had many first experiences this trip...including using a parking meter. :) It is great to be home. Now I must get my home in the Christmas spirit!

My latest love pinterest.

So after hearing Facebook friends post about something called pinterest, I had to check it out for myself. I don't know why I didn't sooner because it is my newest addiction. I love all the DIY crafty things on there and all the things for kids. Today I made gumdrop turkeys for Liam's daycare friends. I think I should've added a couple more feathers in the back, but they turned out pretty cute. I am also making Oreo turkeys for Lawson's friends. I'm excited about the upcoming Thanksgiving festivities this week! The holidays are my favorite time of year. I know it's not nice to put a tree up before Thanksgiving, but I couldn't resist decorating a little so we decorated the exterior of the house. :)

Oh no, Andy is the big 3-0!!!

Yesterday was Andy's 30th birthday! He is another year older and another year wiser. He is the greatest daddy and husband a girl could ask for. I had a surprise party for him this past weekend at Taylor Grocery. He was very surprised to see all of his childhood friends and close family there. Happy 30th birthday baby! We love you so much!!!!

Sweet November...

November is here, and along comes the colder weather too. This year has flown by so fast! I can't believe it's already November. Thankfully I am pretty much finished Christmas shopping so I can enjoy the entire month of December and all of the fun family gatherings. I will leave you with a conglomerate of pictures from this past week.

The Sweet Potato 5k

I ran my second 5kon Saturday in the big town of Vardaman, MS. It was their annual Sweet Potato Festival and my first time to run the 5k there. Natalie, Kristy, Lindsay, and I ran it together.

I ran my first 5k back in August with a time of 38 minutes. I finished this one in 33 minutes so I was very pleased to have shaved 5 whole minutes off my run time. I'd say I accomplished the New Year's resolution of starting to run. Happy running!
