Fortner family Easter 2011!

We had a great Easter weekend with family.  It started with an egg hunt and lunch at church on Saturday and dyeing eggs that afternoon.  On Sunday we woke up to find that the Easter bunny had left treats for the boys and then went to our church's annual Easter sunrise service and fellowshiped with a churchwide breakfast afterward.  We went home and napped for a short while and then we went to Andy's parents' house for lunch followed by our nephew Jace's 3rd birthday party.  We of course hid and hunted eggs Sunday at least 20 times.  Our eggs no longer resembled an egg after we were finished hunting.  Lawson really enjoyed Easter this year, and it was so much fun watching him look for the Easter eggs! Liam Asher did not really understand the whole concept of hunting for eggs, but he loved opening the plastic eggs to see what was inside.  I pray everyone had an Egg-stra special Easter weekend! :)

The word gentle does not exist in a 3 year old's vocabulary!

The family after church...notice Liam is already starting to pick on his big brother by pulling his hair!

My sweet baby boys on Easter morning.

Of course we had to get the sports decorating kit for our eggs.

Easter is on it's way!

I took the boys to Peas and Carrots in Oxford yesterday for pictures with the Easter bunny and to make hand/foot print tiles.  Both Liam and Lawson were good great sports for it all, and I got a cute picture of them with Mr. Peter C. Tail aka the Easter bunny.  This is Liam Asher's first Easter bunny picture so I was excited to see how he'd react when he met him...he was kinda not sure at first, but he didn't cry so all was good.  I can't wait to the egg hunts begin because that's the really fun stuff!

Well the blog master will not let me upload the picture of the boys with the Easter bunny because it appears to be a professional picture!  Craziness....I will try to upload pictures next time.

A little mud bath never hurt anyone!

Benson and Lawson after their mud bath!

Can you see me, Mom?

Liam is 10 months old and changing every day! Look at all those teeth!!

We are enjoying Spring and have been doing a lot of outdoor playing when it is sunny.  We had the Clements over for supper last weekend, and while the grown-ups and Liam were inside talking and finishing up supper, Lawson and Benson were outside playing.  We were watching them out of the dining room window, but no one noticed what they had done until they both came up to the window grinning from ear to ear and their teeth and eyes were just about all you could see.  They had jumped in the only mud puddle in our yard and were both covered from head to toe.  Needless to say they had the best time!  We had to strip them down before bringing them inside for baths.  We really enjoyed hanging out with the Clements and can't wait to do it again!
Liam Asher is 10 months old and will be walking really soon.  He is the cutest baby ever!! He has 7 1/2 teeth and loves most all adult food in small bites.  Did you notice those eye lashes in the picture??? We thought Lawson had long eye lashes when he was a baby, but Liam's are the longest we've ever seen and many people tell us the same thing.  They even curl up on the ends when his eyes are open.  A girl would love those! He has the funniest personality and continues to be the more laid back of the two Fortner boys.  He loves his big brother more than anything in this world and is so happy when the two of them are playing on quilts in the floor or just playing in their bedrooms.  I love watching them play together and can't wait to see what the future holds for these two precious boys!!!
