Lawson is 2 and the football party!

Our sweet boy turned 2 years old yesterday, and we celebrated by having him a football birthday party per his request! He has been asking about it for months when I asked him what kind of party he wanted to have. He loves balls of all sorts, but football is by far the favorite. He had a great party with many friends and family present.

Lawson never ceases to amaze us! He can say his entire alphabet and count to 10 in English and Spanish. He is so much smarter than I'd ever imagined a 2 year old to be. He is also challenging our disciplinary actions daily and is getting very aquainted with the old fashioned spank.

There is also other very exciting news in the Fortner household....we are pregnant with baby #2! Yep, we are due June 3, 2010 and are so excited! Things are soon to change.

Long time No see...

Sorry for the extreme hiatus that we have been on since our last post back in Feb! We are just getting over having the busiest summer of our lives! Andy and I had FOUR weddings that we were in this summer all of which were our best friends' so we were involved in as much of it as we could. Along with the four weddings, we are also in the midst of building our first (dream) home! We are on schedule to finish in about 2 weeks so the next time we post a blog we will probably be finished! I will post pictures ASAP. Lawson is still growing as fast as ever and still amazes us with his talents! He is a great singer, dancer, and can already speak in two languages! He is like a sponge and takes in every new piece of information possible! This is just a tidbit of an update and hopefully it will not take me 6 months to do the next post!

Mommy's little man...

Sorry, it has been a while since the last post. I hope everyone is well. We are doing great at the Fortner house! Lawson got tubes put in his ears two weeks ago, and he seems to be feeling a lot better. I am glad he has some relief from all of the ear aches he's been having. He is now 16 months old, and is just the sweetest. He is saying all kinds of words now that he can actually hear what's being said, thanks to the tubes. He says HEEEYYY (he drags out the sylable) and it is the cutest thing...he sounds just like me when he says it so you can imagine how southern that might be!! He is still climbing onto everything, but now he has figured out that jumping off of elevated surfaces feels good to his sensory system so he is scaring me A LOT! We are starting the dirt work today to begin the work on our first house so we are so happy about that. We are shooting for a deadline of October (or at least that's my deadline), but Andy thinks we might be in sooner. Either way my one resolution that I made for 2009 is looking real good....we will soon be home owners! I could use any advice that you all might have since this is my first home building project. Hope to blog sooner that last time!!

New year...new moves

Lawson is 15 months old and is the most energetic child I have ever seen! He's able to climb onto everything which keeps me moving and very nervous! He is also quiet the little dancer too. He loves spinning on one foot and singing too. I will post new pictures real soon!
